For cars (or boats, planes or homes) that don't have an iPod connector or iPod dock, we have the StereoStream. As long as your vehicle or device has a 3.5mm (1/8") stereo input jack, this will work for sure. The StereoStream comes with a standard USB cable that can be permanently powered via the cars accessory/cigarette port - or it also has a built in rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery pack (the latest in battery technology) that will last about 10 hours of use and about 100 hours of standby time. Mercedes shipped some cars with this cable. This cable is NOT Apple certified and will not work correctly with the AnyStream or even certainl Apple devices. A newer part number: Mercedes part number A 001 827 82 04 are replacement cables for Media Interface option 518, and does fix the problem in many cases (but not all). However, the StereoStream WILL work with this cable.

There are literally tens of thousands of iPod interaces, cables, speaker docks, etc made in the world. However, some docks and vehicles are not 100% Apple compliant. Of course it is not possible or practicle to test every single scenario. This we can say... The Anystream is a 100% Apple compliant device. Just because your interface will currently play music from an iPod or iPhone does not mean it is 100% compliant.
